Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. She was raised listening to classic, old boleros, and traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. She began her singing and learning music with her mother, and commenced more serious training in singing when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. In 2000, she emigrated into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for arts, music and performing has her participating in many local projects in the roles of teacher and performer. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as along with The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged being able give others a taste of her enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to help keep the traditions in the present.
